Midwest Fashion Week Releases Names of Home and Fashion Fusion Feature Designers

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 20, 2011— With events set to begin in just under a month, Midwest Fashion Week (MFW) is releasing information about some of this season’s special guests. The events begin on Wednesday October 19th with Home and Fashion Fusion: The Midwest Fashion Week Kick-off event. This invitation-only cocktail party will be held at the Skyline Club in downtown Indianapolis. The kick-off event will also celebrate the five years since Midwest Fashion Week was started by Berny Martin. The program will honor past and current supporters, community partners, sponsors, and look ahead towards MFW’s bright future and the role of fashion in local economic development.

The creative works of home fashion and interior architect designers will be on display in a gallery-like setting. The feature designers include Jill Duzan, William Marquez,  Jeryl Mitsch,  Tom Vriesman, and Jesse Wilkerson. Jill Duzan has over 30 years of experience and training in interior design and architecture that has evolved over the past 10 years into a very personal expression through her jewelry collection which is designed at her Tree Top Design studio. William Marquez is the owner of the architectural and public/urban design firm, w/ purpose, which is dedicated to finding plausible, yet nontraditional, solutions for homes, developments, streetscapes, retail centers, and interior designs through a collaborative practice he defines as “creative play”. Jeryl Mitsch is the owner of Mitsch Design, which is one of the Midwest’s leading commercial interior and architectural
design firms that has created numerous award winning projects across the United States. Tom Vriesman is the principle of Studio Design Vriesman, an Indianapolis based interior architect design firm that specializes in creating classically modern spaces of timeless simplicity. Jesse Wilkerson hosts a radio show called Vision for Success on 1240 AM WHBU and he is the founder of Jesse Wilkerson & Associates, an architectural design firm which designs everything from religious institutions and fire stations to private residences and retail facilities.

At the event “The Hope Seekers” coffee table book will be on sale and the proceeds will benefit the Saving Orphans through Healthcare and Outreach (SOHO) organization.
