CHICAGO, May 27, 2016—Despite its inception a decade ago, for over three years Indianapolis-based fashion production company, Midwest Fashion Week (MFW), has had the opportunity to host seasonal events in Chicago. This Fall, they will once again return to the Windy City with exclusive fashion events taking place October 19-22, 2016.
Recently, Midwest Fashion Week has extended its reach both nationally and internationally with a lineup of shows in additional fashion capitals including Paris and New York. This expansion is evidence of the Midwest’s growing fashion industry and style influence on the rest of the world.
“The purpose of our expansion is to highlight and introduce designers and the creative effort of the fashion community to the world. Although ‘Midwest’ is in our name, our goal is to bring Midwest fashion to the world. Annually, we host runway shows in Paris, New York, Chicago and Indianapolis in which we present exciting collections from exceptional designers from around the world. For over a decade, we have taken great pride in showcasing the talents of more than 300 designers from several different countries and are excited by our continued growth,” stated Midwest Fashion Week Director, Berny Martin.
A standing member of the Magnificent Mile, the production company is currently seeking partners interested in supporting the upcoming Midwest Fashion Week Chicago. In addition to the runway shows, shopping and networking, Midwest Fashion Week also collaborates with a non-profit partner each season to give back to the community that continues to support them. The Lynn Sage Foundation (Chicago) has been chosen as the official community partner for the Fall 2016 season. The Lynn Sage Foundation was founded in 2003 in honor and memory of Lynn Sage, a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend, who tragically passed away at the age of 39 as a result of her battle with breast cancer. The family of Lynn Sage has been raising money for breast cancer research since soon after Lynn’s death in 1984.
